Day 4
The town dialogue became increasingly bitter with the passage of time, and so did the inching fear of death in the hearts of the unknowing innocents. Today was a Saturday, but a church service had been scheduled early today due to the dire need of some sort of comfort. Instead of meeting in the town council chambers, the townspeople congregated in the sanctuary of the church, and trying for once to be calm, waited for the priest to emerge. Minutes turned to hours, and patience wore thin - someone went looking in the priests quarters.
They came stumbling out and vomited. What had been done to the cadaver was unholy.
The poor witness, though, did produce a note that had been affixed to the door. It read as follows:
Have we all learned anything yet? No? Well it doesn't look like we ever will because lesson time is over. From now on you can forget the purple prose because we are in this game for the power. Try not to get blood on any of the nice houses while you point fingers in a blind rage, I think we'll be taking those.
