So what happens when I try to do a shorter podcast? I end up recording my longest show ever. Nice. Check it out:
  • Hot Coffee news until your head explodes!
  • Every 30 seconds Xbox Live grows by one.
  • World of Warcraft just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
  • Microsoft confirms worldwide Xbox 360 launch.
  • Advertising to invade all video games all the time.
  • Hoe Coffee Part 2 -- The Sims 2.
  • GameTalk: Hot Coffee is over -- now what?
  • SporeTalk: How is Spore going to handle controversial downloadable content and the "new, more sensitive" ESRB?
  • In-depth review of Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee for the PSP.
  • RetroReview: Heroes of Might and Magic III for the PC.
  • “Name That Game!” contest winner from last week, a new clip, and a new prize!
  • Plus some more random thoughts on why gaming is good for "the children" and some recommended reading.

Get the podcast from this page (104 minutes): Gaming Steve Episode 18.

To enter the "Name that Game!" contest to write me an email with the name of the game and the platform at: game@gamingsteve.com

You can also subscribe to the weekly podcast.

Just finished listening and I think I'm over not winning the stylis granted I dont have DS yet but i would get one probably when nintendogs is out or something havent decided what game i want to get when i get a game. Anyway thanks for posting the CBFD song of the G.M.P. I used to have it on my computer many years ago I think it got lost during a hard dirve crash or 2 I might have it somewhere on CD still none the less my version had all the chours stuff (singing high notes while conker hurls T.P.) and the bit after the glass shaters all the way to where he gets flushed in the wizard of Oz send up.

"Oh i'm flushing I'm flushing what a world what a world who would have thought a squirrel could ever defeat me oh I'm going ahhhhhh!"

Now thats what I call a bowel movement

Have to try and find that again.

Am listening... is very intersting!  Tell me, what is this Sims 2 site with the really "wrong" downloadable content (i'm intrigued as to what can be so bad) - PM me if you're worried about it being inappropriate.  Cheers.

There are many Sims2 sites that have questionable downloadable content. Lots of realistic nude skins, teen woohoo and teen pregnancy. All of these things were created by 3rd party not Maxis. I've even seen a Sims Xrated site. Very strange.

Steve mentioned one in particular which was pretty bad i think (not sure may have been in general but hey).  Out of morbid curiosity really!

Haha, some of those are just... wrong.  Thanks for the link.  Some people actually go out of their way to create these too... man.

Some of that is just... wrong.

Great show Steve.. I love TIVO too, I have two of them. Enjoyed all of it and I was so excited that I know the answer of Name that Game for the first time ever.

Yes, I suspect an enormous number of correct answers, or at least I can't think of how antone could get it wrong.

I just checked and that Extra Life book is at my library...I'm definitely going to have to check it out.

Oh, by the way, I just read an excellent article on video games. You guys might want to check it out. There is a comment or two that might make you guys angry, but keep your minds open.

You can read it over here: http://www.ornery.org/essays/warwatch/2005-06-26-1.html
