TV / Family Guy is returning!
« on: April 27, 2005, 03:07:42 pm »
For those of you that don't know, the best animated comedy ever is returning shortly. Family Guy will be back I believe on the first sunday of May. I already got to see the first new episode, and the show is just as funny as it once was, if not funnier. Much better than American Dad, which was a dissapointment.

I'm seeing it this weekend!

I read this review about it that completely trashed it though. they said they changed too much of douglas adam's original script and took out a lot of the funny parts. I really hope that isn't true; I've been anticipating this movie for awhile now! it would suck if it sucked.

It does look like a good game. The soundtrack they're releasing sounds good, but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet.

That's a great idea! I'm the webmaster of a site also...maybe I could do that.

My friend is currently trying to get a free iPod through one of those things (of the 5 people, he has 4, although they haven't signed up yet). I'm waiting to see how that goes for him. I have heard that it works great and the only problem is long waits, but I'd like a close friend to try it first. If it works out for him, I'm going to organize it so that all my friends will help one another get a free thing that they want by signing up for each other. As long as we all get different things, it should work fine.

Thanks. All my friends say "it isn't bad." Good thing I'm only a sophomore this year, I'll have another shot at it next year.

Awesome, thanks. Greatly appreciated.

If fox ever brings family guy back like they said they would, that would be at the top of my list.

Beyond that, I don't watch much TV. I would watch the Attack of the Show or the Screensavers but I don't have that kind of access. They seem like interesting and appealing shows, despite the bum-rap that they get.

I'm curious - does anyone know if that stuff work? Kevin Rose apparently says it works (he's gotten a $250 gift certificate and a free Mac Mini from it), but I'm still skeptical. Just wondering if this could be my way to get a PSP!!

I don't know any specific estimate specs, but from what I've heard, it will take a considerably powerful computer to run it. This was because it ran only fairly well on a powerful computer when they demoed. But, then again, I've also heard that this was just because the game was in its earlier stages and its code wasn't full optimized.

Still, I think it will take a pretty powerful computer to run it on the medium/upper end settings, but I think they'll try to make it so that lower end computers will still be able to run it as well.

I've played two of the Monkey Islands (maybe three, I think, not sure), and I have Grim Fandango, although I didn't get very far in it. That's pretty cool that Tim Schafer visited your school! We don't get many exciting visitors here.

I've been anticipating this game for awhile now, but the demo was just released. I just finished the demo level (which is the first training/tutorial level - it's pretty long). It's a great game! Graphically it's pleasing, and artistically, the style is awesome. The gameplay is pretty much your run-of-the-mill platforming stuff although the artistic direction of the entire game makes it seem new and exciting. The gameplay concepts are also interesting, as you enter other characters' minds, filled with many literal interpretations and stuff. For example, you'll sort through your trainers emotional baggage by finding their tags. You'll have to pick up figments of imagination. I didn't get to see anything about the story or plot in the demo, but the characters and overall atmosphere of the game is very playful, humourous, and entertaining. I'd love to get this game! (But I don't have any money!)

When I watched this movie, I thought to myself, "I can't believe how a few years ago Saving Private Ryan and Gladiator were our goriest movies - look at things now!"

That's what I figured, about the separate plots. My friend says that Josh Harnett character was just there to sort of represent the evils of the city, which makes sense.

I was wondering if anyone took the new SATs? I just got my score today. I got a 2040 out of 2400. I was wondering if that was any good? I don't know much about these scores.
