Basically:
-There will be no offline play. At all.
-You will be able to buy and sell any item you find on the in-game auction house for real money.
-There will be a listing fee and a sale fee, but you get a few free listings each week.
-Only items other players find will drop. Blizzard will not sell any items themselves.
-You will be able to transfer the money to your battle.net account or cash-out using an unnamed money transfer service.
-There will also be a gold currency auction house.

I personally don't care about the offline only part, as I would have only every played online anyway. It sucks for people who would have played alone heavily, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.

As for the real-money auction house, it intrigues me. I'll be able to make a little bit of dough playing Diablo 3, and since this item buying would have happened anyways, it's better to have it under Blizzard's control.

What are your thoughts on this?

The season premiere was really good. Anyone else seen it? It will be online this Tuesday if you haven't.

Anybody else going to Blizzcon this year? I'm trying to get tickets atm. Last year was a ton of fun, and this year time it looks to be even better.

It seems similar to the old Incredible Machines series. Has anyone tried it out? Is it worth the 20$ cost?

So yeah, the demo for this game dropped on fileplanet a few days ago and I today I gave it a test and holy crap. This game is like Battlefield 2, except with real objective maps like from UT2K4. It also runs very smoothly (no glitches like BF2 is riddled with) with beautiful graphics.

The general feel of the game is very smooth, theres no hitching, no lag from what I've seen, weapons feel powerful and fun. Theres 5 classes, each with 2-4 weapons each and a ton of equipment. The soldier, for example, can deploy timed explosives that you can place on a surface or armored thing, and grenades, and 4 choices of a main weapon. Then theres the standard medic with it's revive thing, but then theres the technician-type person, who can deploy automatic turrets. And I don't mean little things half your height, I mean giant guns that are so big they have to be flown in. And another class gets the same thing, except artillery. And its powerful artillery. It can shoot pretty much across the map, and destroy anything it hits. Theres a cooldown on firing it, of course, and targeting it makes you vulnerable.

Anyone seen this movie yet? I'm a fan of the books and have yet to see the movie, but would like to hear some of you's opinions about it.

Yes, you read that right. My friend who had connections with the manager at a local EB-games invited him over for "something important"- and it turns out he had a Wii in the back, and let my friend and some other people play it for 2 hours. I am jealous, to say the least.

He says the controller is really easy to learn, like in 10 minutes. He also said of the 3 games he played (zelda, red steel, and rayman), that rayman was the most fun. I don't really know what it was about, but he said something along the lines of "rabbit liberation". AKA, dead rising with rabbits? I dunno, there was also a plot somewhere in there.

All I can say is, grr, I want to play the Wii! Also, where is the spellcheck button?
