Spore: Creation Corner / Random creature drawings
« on: May 07, 2007, 04:38:16 pm »

A headless chicken type of creature the Furans run around fondeling and chewing on all in its path, resulting in high mortality and numerous reports of sexual misconduct.

The lesser Trifoids have been released on this population to help reduce the abuse caused to the inigionus population, their poor camoflage on their home planet nearlly wiped them to extinction, however against the furans lemming style method of survival they have thrived in their new home.

Spore: General / 3rd person control
« on: April 19, 2007, 05:07:34 pm »
As We have clearly seen direct control of a creature is possible and as it has been stated you can re-visit any stage, so i presume that means you could also take conrol of one of your many creatures in the tribal/Civ/space stages, much like the dungeon Keeper game way.

Presuming that this is possible, it got me wondering if they would also let you command your robotic creations as well, i would love to set up a battle statagy hit the go button and leap into the contols of a giant robotic rino type thing, smashing through the enemys base for example, or whatever mechanical montrosities you create, Im Backpacking around Australia Atm so ive missed the last 4 months of spore info, hopefully should be back intime for spore off but is there anything i may have missed regarding direct contol of your own army, cause i think it'd be sweet?

Spore: General / The Ufo Stage
« on: September 12, 2006, 12:49:13 pm »
Ill first of say that i am not suggesting fleets, before anyone says.

I'm just curious on peoples opinions about the UFO stage, its is the cumulative stage and is the main aim to reach, a few things about it are bothering me.

The colonization of other planets is one, the video shows how you create a city using the UFO from space, no qualms there really, but what about the inhabitants, the UFO can beam people aboard but in my opinion for a transport ship its pretty small, this also applies to warfare, destroying City's with a spaceship is nifty n all but if id rather have my Army do it, say if theres too many defenses,  i just cant see a Army really fitting on that little UFO.

To have space warfare would add a whole new level onto spore, so i understand about its exclusion but something like a large warship, used for just transporting units or a large transport ship for settlers and recourses that stays in orbit and shuttles or beams things up or down, it isn't a difficult thing to include, its just a version of the UFO but with less options, could even be auto drive, and id prefer it to the whole "live city's" that spring up or being able to transport large amounts of people in a tiny spaceship idea.

The UFO is meant to be the ultimate toolkit but I'm not to keen on that idea, its just too farfetched for me to think that little UFO can do everything from transporting large units, destroying and creating worlds and city's, and still having enough room to put your feet up in, I'm just saying its going to be quite a squeeze in there :P

Whats your opinion about it all?

Spore: General / New- Old Screenshots

Ive stumbled across this huge selection of screens dating back as far as spore was in development it seems, the majority i haven't seen before at all, and pre-pre production stuff is always cool, enjoy.

sorry if these are already posted somewhere before, but the huge amount of screens is amazing

Spore: General / Plant Creatures
« on: September 04, 2006, 10:48:46 am »
Considering the limitlessness of spore do you think that as creature-robot merges are expected that creature-plant merges could also be created, I want a triffid style creature, or tree's like the one out of Evolution, if we so decided, do you think it will be possible and popular enough to be included so we can make carnivorous tress, or plant style creatures?

I'm hoping so

Spore: General / Adaptations
« on: August 28, 2006, 10:33:28 am »
My question is, is if there is any information regarding adaptations to the enviroment, i do not mean fat creatures, or venom spitting ones, im talking about climbing, digging, camoflaging, tree swinging creatures. Stuff like sensory adaptations, creatures that can sense heat, or use echo's, or other alien alternatives to things like eyesight, i would very much like to know if existed.

In my opinion a game isnt that creative when all the creatures are the same but look different and have different stats, id really like to build a city not only where my creatures can enter building but interact, climb, swing and hide on, and where my army, if evolved form say cameleons have extra advantages where it comes to stealth or things like that.

Its asking a lot but as this game is meant to be "simworld"
