Want a tip?

Here's a thread I opened once, all about culture. You can use that:

Hi all, I'm BioCat as some of you know, and my main usage of this forum was for a long time RPing in the spore OG RPs that were once common here. I've got to say that with no connection to the actual game I enjoyed spore a lot in the 2.5 years I waited for it to come out.

And now that I finally got the game I enjoyed it for a while but soon found the actual gameplay rather lacking. I found myself spending about 75% of the time in the editors instead of in the game and barely got the spore addict badge just today. Than I remembered what Will Wright once said: "Spore lets you be the George Lucas of your own movie". So I started to form my own little story a while back. I created my race called the Noblar and played the game as usuall through all the stages to space. On the way I tried to use all available game-features to actually make my experience personal an suiting to the story I wanted to tell, while trying to explain experiences I had in game (like being almost defeated in civ stage :)... ) with in-story content. Personally I found it a lot of fun.

And now I come here hoping to share it with you guys if you are interested. I have opened a sporecast called the Noblar Universe that contains all the content relavant to my Noblar game. In the descriptions you could find the story behind my creations and bring the pieces of the puzzle together and learn about the story of the Noblars and keep up to date with it. If I'll see enough people are interested I might even write short stories that will tell this history, though as things are going in this forum I doubt it will happen...

Anyway first here's the link:
http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=ssc-500167599929

And here are a few examples like the races:

Noblar:

Delegon: Miners Guild: Grallo:

And spaceships:
Delegon Shuriken: Grallo Destroyer: Acenar (Noblar Spaceship):

So first and most important Enjoy :)! I would love some comments and requests if there are any.

Next: A look behind the scenes. Which in play races I met and inspired the races I actually post the sporecast, What game actions lead to some of the stories in the descriptions (like the crimson empire and the rebel-punks), and anything else you want to know!

Perrachi
Perrachi have three beaks, so don't be fooled into thinking they're telepathic if they try the old talking-with-the-two-inner-beaks trick.

I laughed so hard :)...

Tip 3: Never stand between a Mushk and another Mushk (though almost impossible not to do as they are so common and flock in such massive herds). Mushks tend to rub against each other to get rid of parasites without any warnings and many unlucky fellows were crushed between their rocky plates this way.

P.S.: Shouldn't there be a link to the creature or something?

I agree with Razonatair. It seems food is set for now using gathering, go get him some shelter, sleep a little more, and tomorrow morning go to the lake and shower himself and then hunt some ducks.

Silicon-based Creatures

A collection of interesting silicon based creatures.

(For some reason not all are showing through the explorer but through the game you would get them all.)

I try to comment regularly on buddy content as well as to search randomly for stuff on sporepedia and comment and the quality ones. It's also a great way to find new buddies and add cool stuff to your database.

I also try and search for "gamingsteve" as well as there are usually quality stuff there.

Anyway would love it if some of you guys would check out my stuff. Bad comments are accepted as well as long as they are tasteful, I always appreciate constructive criticism.

Anyway my user is RubyClaw, so check me out :).

Yep I saw that as well recently, amusingly the first message was about one of your creations Yannick :). Anyway indeed thumbs up for the spore team, this feature is very cool.

Just got them through the boddy a while a go. Great stuff. By the way I hate the Inogk! I always meet the creature version in the creature stage and they are rentless!

If his raising wasn't so rigid and rough figthing since the cradle Emperor Daniyu would probably shed a tear to the words of Tussad.

"Bravo... Bravo... I'm shocked this has come to this yet in a way it makes so much sense. I was sure my ideas of true unity would be declined as they were so many times in the past when others suggested them. I find it funny that I, the representative of the Urshan race that since the beginning kept itself apart from all others always divding ourselves from the union when a great new party came to rule, am the one that lead this idea of unity. And I was truly shocked to see so many of my brethren leaders came with this idea at the same time and presented it to our council as well. It was a probably a need greater than I realised.

I'm proud to say that if indeed most factions that are currently ruling the union will agree to this I really suspect this new reform might end all internal wars forever. For some of us might not remember but this union wasn't created really to fight a common enemy like many alliances form, nor because we all shared any ideologies nor faith. In truth in the beginning we were all so divide and couldn't be more diffrent in culture and government. This union was formed to end all wars between ourselves when the five former races of the union after many bloody battles with each other decided to end their conflicts by uniting. Because we were so diffrent when united our union was doomed since the beginning for countless endless internal wars, it was the only possible way things could have happened. Now, things are different. Now we are truly one. After Urshan fought side to side with Forthis, After Thoons found themselves among the Yunimui elite, after Auyuelcliads Regs Arkibals Austians and many others found themselves sharing the same planets fighting against more Regs and Arkibals and Austians and Urshans... how can we say we are different?

Brothers we are one!

If this unity will indeed be created we could send a new message to the galaxy: "races so diffrent, so full of hate towards each other, can drop their weapons and become brothers. Our endless wars were our sacrifice for the rest who would like to join us. We learned through war what we must teach the rest through peace. This union is the most powerful faction that ever risen in our known galaxy! We have banished threats, overthrown many governments, and worked together as a massive galactic unit. We have fought together against common enemies many times, but foolishly some of the times they were truly our brothers. Do you remember the Wexxians? They shed a tear from their eye cooling systems thinking we were truly united when they left, they thought us they taught the ways of peace and tranquility will come to this place. Inded they were, and they were wrong. But now tens of years later lets make them proud."

Daniyu shook his head.

"Generally I agree. I was a servant of the people for all of my ruling, take care of all of those abandoned by the H.C. and letting them decide how the Urshan Empire would look like. I put down self gain for me and my race in the behalf of the better good for all the citizens no matter their race of religion.

But still the great amount of masses lies beyond my borders, in the sister nation the former H.C. These masses were lied to in their masses, the elitists live in their close little worlds while the rest of the mostly none Yunimui population were cast aside and thrown away from their homes. What do you think they will vote for now? Another government that will rule them all which will remind them of the former H.C? Of course not, they will want separation, and from separation more wars will come. We must decide what's best for the people, and only when they will be truly free they could decide what's best for them."
