Notch is bitching on twitter about how all the money didn't bring him happiness and everything is shallow and lacks meaning and woe is him.

Aw, I just checked it out and it's pretty sad.

I don't know what the guy expected though. He went through a divorce and his response was to move from Sweden to friggin' Los Angeles and buy a huge mansion to live in alone.

Yeah, given enough money to actually change the world or at least make a strong impact, and he'd rather contemplate the shallowness of humanity at its biggest party ground. Dude was probably coming down off some Molly, couldn't get any weed, and someone forgot to take his phone from him.

I don't think money makes someone immune from depression, though.

You do have to wonder why he doesn't set up a charitable foundation or something.

I do feel sort of bad for him (not his situation, his feelings). But why not splash some of that cash around. Best case scenario he finds a cause he can get fired up about and devote his energy to, worst case he blows all his money and can go back to being just a fat Swedish guy that makes simple games and takes long vacations.

Helping other people actually directly improves mood in (non-psychopathic) people because of inherent human empathy.

If he gave a bunch of his money to charitable causes, he'd probably actually be much happier.

So I had to eat the last portion from the cereal box today and the dust content is off the charts. The milk at the end is just a gross slurry of cheerio particles, I'm not even sure I can finish it.

I usually stick my hand in the bag and sift out the larger chunks of cereal. The dust sucks. Unless it is dehydrated marshmallow dust. Reform that into new shapes.

Agree with Ink. Weekends and days when I have late lectures or go into work late I generally make myself eggs.

Usually scrambled on toast but sometimes fried on crumpets.
