I second being totally weirded out at the end(and a bit at the beginning and middle as well) of Time Bandits. I was too young to understand anything that wasn't totally obvious so it frightened me a lot that something could be this random and unexpected.

Considering my taste in movies today, I'll say showing TB to me was probably a plan of my fathers. Thank you(actually!)!

Here are my fav movies

1. Top gun- a 1986 movie about a naval aviator who want to prove that he is best among the best pilots. The aerial stunts or maneuvers and sounds are very cool. i hate the part when goose died. goose is very funny.

2. Armageddon- story of oil driller who was called to duty to save earth from a meteor about the size of texas that will hit earth. the characters fits their role and nice sounds also.

When I was a kid I watched alot of movies but one movie in particular really stood out for me:

Warriors of Virtue: Man was that movie crazy, Kung Fu Kangaroos and evil men bent on the destruction of a land. Not to mention the fight scenes were pretty cool and that crazy deathtrap scene was well done!

I watched 13 Days last night. It's about the Cuban Missile Crisis, and its a really good depiction of just how close the US and USSR came to war.

I really hate to bump an old topic, but I think I might have a new favorite movie.

I just saw The Usual Suspects, it was a bit confusing sometimes(timeline-wise), yet it held my attention up until the incredible ending. It's strange, I never even heard of Kevin Spacey, but I just saw him in Seven too and both his performances just totally made the movies for me.

So I would suggest that you all go see The Usual Suspects rights now. That's right, get up and go now.

I loved "A Scanner Darkly".

Throughout the whole movie, I was terribly confused.  Then in an epic flash of an ending, I fell in love with it.

I just saw "The Last King of Scotland" with Forrest Wittiker (or however you spell his last name) and I must say... That film was very, VERY disturbing... yet brilliant at the same time.

Forest Whitaker. That was a damn good performance in a damn good film.
Not a winner anymore.

I watched 2001: A Space Odyssey recently, and I thought it sucked first. But after watching more I got sucked in. It's one of the better films I've seen recently.

This opinion changes from time to time, but I want to rewatch "What Dreams may Come" with Robin Williams. It was such an amazing movie with awesome acting... but I'll watch almost anything with Robin Williams in it... except maybe RV.

I've seen A Beautiful 3 times, so I guess I could say that one's pretty good.

I loved "A Scanner Darkly".

Throughout the whole movie, I was terribly confused.  Then in an epic flash of an ending, I fell in love with it.

Oh, that one was very weird and awesome. I liked the strange animation style there. Must have taken ages to do that.
