Actually, Venus needs a research station to study its weather and stuff. use whatever ship is closest to venus.
Oh yeah, egineers, design a mutifunction wether probe to go in the reseach station.

The Ark ship thats going to build the station can bring parts to construct a weather observation device that will go into one of the labs.

No, not orbiting, more like bouyant. Because venus' atmosphere is so dense, the air-filled tents will just float around.

But wouldn't using unmanned satellites but more effective and cheaper than using floating tents?

The tents could be modular to make giant cities. Like them floating venus cities in every sci fi thing ever.

You are aware on how that would never work, right? And that we could do the same thing with a space station thats actually armored?

I think we should go send an Ark Class to build a research base at both Mercury and Europa. We should also design a resupply and refinery base with built in point defense that we can build in the asteroid belt to serve as a central drop off point for mining epedetions, letting are mining ships spend more time mining instead of transporting. We will probably need to make another Ark class to transport the good from the station though.

Hmm... You actually thought this through, unlike other new people... I'm impressed. But are you aware this will likely require the construction of another Ark and where would the drop off point for the Ark be?

Mars, probably. It's closer to the asteroid belt. Or Europa, depending on if that place needs more raw materials to get going. As for building another ark... Is having another cargo ship a bad thing?

For you? No.
For me, another ship to keep track of and make sure it does what you guys tell it to do. I'm considering putting ships into squadrons, but I don't really see how that would work.

Cargo Squadron 1 - Belt Station to Mars Run - 3 Arks <- Example
Stuff doing the same thing in the same place can just get stuck into the same group.
