Pay is not going to be involved. Do you have to pay to get stuff from sims online? Theyre moldeling it based on that , you know.

I doubt there won't be, seeing that this is EA and Will Wright we're talking about. Just look at the Sims. Now why would this be so much different?

First off, WW does not like expansion packs, it was only after they were bought out by EA that each game had a bazillion EPs; second off, will said he was going to expand spore broadly, instead of deeply, meaning that instead of releasing EPs, he would release smaller games that were like portions of spore for handheld games, etc. and seeing as lots of different games would make more money that lots of EPs, I think EA will go for this. But then again, when the head of EA is kneeling down infront of Lucifer, he might decide that a 2D plane covers more space than a 1D line.
Quote from: The Will
In a movie, one can always pull back and condemn the character or the artist ... But in playing a game ... we can be encouraged to examine our own values by seeing how we behave within virtual space.
tl;dr. But with all those shiny symbols and numbers it's probably awsome.

We were talking about features, not content.

Well the monthly fee's for most mmo is for content-and this is not an mmo.

After all, it's not like the server will be under as big a load as the MMO servers are.

Hopefully they expand the game broadly and deeply. Personally I love expansion packs, the first game was ok usually but expansion packs expand the universe far more than was possible (usually again) than the origional game.
