A Tribal Adventure
« on: February 14, 2013, 06:07:30 am »
"Let me tell you the story of our people, young lad. We were not the masters of matter and energy all the time. No, we actually started as mere apes with the ability to communicate only the most basic concepts. With no time at their hands to think, as they had to struggle for survival each and every day, the tribalists were a band of nomads, foraging and hunting for food. I think you can plot down the beginnings to a group of ten. They had a remarkable leader, but I don't remember who he was, what was his name again? Don't YOU know? After all you studied history in school, haven't you? So what was his name again, and for what was he renowned for?"

A: Caruso Thunderbelly - An adept fighter
B: Vul Cane - A rationalist who was known for his intelligence
C: Zulu Zambowsey - A wise man with a great sense for justice
D: Dilana Hacknsack - A very fertile and manipulative woman of the herbs

You are Dilana Hacknsack.
(1 = Very Weak/5 = Very Strong
Strength: 1                                  Charisma: 3                                                                Intelligence:3
Dexterity: 2                                  Appearance: 3                                                           Wits: 3
Constitution: 3                              Manipulation: 4                                                           Perception: 2

You stand in front of your tribe, wielding your mighty staff (a wooden staff of plain wood). Your tribe, a group of seven men and two other women besides you, looks adeptly at you. You hold the command over these subject, but since this is a tribal group, you cannot make them do unreasonable and unfair things (yet). You need to work ón schemes to strengthen your power, but you will have to take care of your tribe as they will rebel against you if you are unable to rule wisely. Luckily you wield the power of your tongue, and have a fertile body, which will ease the burden to find an heir. You will need to choose a personal goal, and allocate your action points. Furthermore you will have to allocate your tribesmembers to gather ressources and build tools.

Tribe's Inventories:
Rocks: 10/100
Sticks: 10/100
Food Ratios: 20/100 (-10 a Month)

Technologies
Build crude Axe(+1SpU) Costs: -2 Sticks, -1 Rock
Build crude Spear (+1FpU) Costs: -3 Sticks, -1 Rock
Build crude Basket (+1F/R/SpU) Costs: -5 Sticks

You have 10 Personal Points, allocate them as you please.
Research a plot to increase Power (costs 5 PP)
Gather any Ressource (4Units per PP)
Invent Domestication (costs 25 PP)
Invent Wheel (costs 35 PP)
Invent Agriculture (costs 45 PP)
Look for Mate (costs 5 PP)

Give each Member of the Tribe one of these Jobs:
Gather Fruit (2FpU)
Go Hunting (2FpU)
Gather Rocks (2FpU)
Gather Sticks (2FpU)
Build One Tool
Aid the Chief (increases your pp by two, limit is currently at 1)

Suggestions will be apreciated, and in the next update, once the tribe has assembled for the second time you will receive more info on the geography and surroundings in general.
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.

Build 3 spears, give to 3 of the men, have them go hunting. Have 2 men gather sticks, and 1 man gather stones. The remaining three people, 2 women and 1 man, build aforementioned spears.

As for personal actions... Does PP expenditure stack?

Any unspent PP will be lost by the end of the turn, but if you spend 3 points per turn in a research action, they will stack until they accumulate enough points.

The past week has been successful. While you were travelling the country, you managed to forge 3 spears and you send out your kinsmen to gather ressources. You wander aimlessly through the plains, as you are a bit desperate. This moving from places to places can't go on forever. You sit down in a patch of light green high grass and begin to meditate. You hear the whispers from the surroundings, but they come at you as if they were voices. The ghosts must enjoy your presence here.

During the evenings the tribe shares their stories and they sit still in unity around the fire. Ramsey began telling a story of his deer hunt, he followed the beast on foot, telling the other hunters where to go and look. He also says that he wants to improve upon his spearmaking skills. He is praised by the tribe for his recent discoveries. Later on Boobar began to sing his lovely song of Fire. You realize that you want a mate.
