Yeah. The Space Stage is extremely annoying. I've been there for five hours and have been unable to colonize more than 5 planets, two of which I lost. On top of which I'm flying around now, finding empires that stretch WAAAAYYYY beyond 10 systems, and farther since I can't see that far.

Let's not forget that an alien can capture a planet while you can only destroy the colony.

Though, all of the other stages are awesome.

i look at the age rating for spore, it says 12.

how would a 12 year old have the patience, brains and smarts to manage the space stage???

I second these motions. I very much love Spore, but it definitely can be improved upon. With all the expansions and/or patches coming out (the initial gameplay problems should be fixed in a free patch in my opinion.) its good to know that these will eventually be fixed.

I would add(Haven't played yet but I know what isn't in) to the wishlist:

-The ability to send all the spice from one planet to another one via cargo ships. You would be able to send spice from A to B, from C to D, from B and D to E and pick ALL the spice of 6 planets in a single travel. This may add a new mission "Protect your ships from pirate attack" which you can do either fighting yourself or buying escort ships
-Bigger spice storages
-Fleets!

-Be able to do planet level RTS in Space Stage(Like Civ stage)
-Sim Everything!: Be able to destroy stars, build dysons spheres, ring worlds, space stations(DeathStar!), be able to alter the gravity(Make suns, black holes, merge planets.....)
I hope the two last point will be true with expansions. The first three are needed NOW!

Artir: I think your last two points are too ambitious for patch, sadly. As for your first, that's on the list, as is the third, in a form.

SporeForSure: I saw that thread, and took a few things from it. However, the first post is not being updated with any of the complaints or suggestions in the thread from what I can tell.

You must repeat the same starting missions every time you do the space stage
Allow an option to skip the starting missions.

You can do that by just telling the guy you know how to fly a spacecraft.

You still need to take the first couple missions in order to get a few things, like I think one of them upgrades your drive.

I want it go to at max 90. But thats with placing those Spice Containers there. It shouldnt just have 1 Spice Container, but be allowed to have like 5.

-But yeah the Diplomatic thing is a must, seriously, what were they thinking? They dont even have a diplomatic/relationships menu? Really Dumb move.

-The black hole thing is a must, they have to add direct routes once you visit them..

- More types of spices? like really rare ones?White, Black, Gold, Clear etc. Would be really worth it for long distant outposts you gotta maintain

- Agreed over too much micromanagement for cities in Space Stage. Should be some save option.

- Also agreed over the ability to have your own fleet ships guarding each planet.. maybe just one for each planet, and the ability to place solar system turrets or defence stations orbiting the sun so that they can be dispatched to the planets when enemies attack?

- Allies suck miserably.. It wouldnt be that bad if they hadnt been a drain on relationships and also traveling to the original ally and taking one from them manually.. they should just send on after you've cleared the battle.

1.)When I make a colony I should have to choose which designs I'm going to use each and everytime.  It should auto-set whatever my last choice was and just let me change it if I want.


2)The ability to turn off auto sharing without disconnecting from Sporepedia.  After all I don't want to torment anyone with my Sporn! (Or maybe just don't want my page crowded with my crappy filler buildings and races.)
