PC Games / Someone is speedrunning Midtown Madness 2!
« on: November 10, 2020, 06:54:54 pm »

I just happened across this one today while browsing the speedrun archives. This made my evening, I used to love this game. And it's cool that someone is running it right now.

Console Games / Luigi's Mansion oh man!
« on: October 11, 2020, 09:58:35 am »
It's October and I realized I never finished Luigi's Mansion 3. So I went back to it with about four floors left to complete. Really glad I did because I forgot how fun the game is and I'm not entirely sure why I stopped playing before finishing. Something probably came up more than likely.

But yeah, check this one out if you have the desire to play something different and fun. They did an excellent job with it.

PC Games / So they're remaking Myst!
« on: September 30, 2020, 03:37:44 pm »
This was pretty neat to see:

<a href="" target="_blank"></a>

Myst is getting a proper remake finally with Cyan's fancy 3D engine and their bullheaded insistence on VR. Thankfully the game is not VR exclusive.

I'm pretty excited to see how they recreate and enhance the Ages of Myst. And I also really want to see if they'll include the Age of Rime that came with realMyst. Either way it looks very nice. Hopefully the gameplay is still all there.

Console Games / Kirby. Fighters. 2.
« on: September 24, 2020, 01:43:53 pm »
So, the Kirby fighting games are pretty freaking fun. Was pleasantly surprised to see that they released a new one on Switch with no notice. It looks like more of the same "not Smash" Kirby action. I'm definitely gonna grab this at some point soon.

Come on, everyone loves Corbo.

Console Games / M$ Buys Bethesda?
« on: September 22, 2020, 02:00:33 pm »
Interesting news. Microsoft now owns Todd Howard.

I look forward to Bethesda's games being leveraged against customers to force them to adopt Micro****'s newest, most intrusive operating system experiences! Meanwhile I will enjoy continuing to pirate Bethesda's newest games and buying the GOTY edition five years later.

Everything Else / Today was the killing fields on the way to work
« on: September 21, 2020, 03:25:09 pm »
Man I don't know what was going on earlier this morning but my drive into work today was like going through a morgue. It's not even the rut yet and the deer decided that today was the day they needed to run into traffic going ~80mph. I didn't hit anything but I counted 11 dead deer of all shapes and sized (and some as-of-yet undiscovered shapes) along the route. Never seen that before!

Everything Else / bahahahahhahahahahah

Everything Else / AYYYY

Whaddup friends?

There was a Nintendo Direct today but it was a "third party" Direct. I saw people complaining that it was boring... but if I'm being real, they should have known what was coming. This first happened months ago. Come on!

Anyone complaining about a Nintendo Direct dedicated to partners anymore is just a whore for views.

Console Games / OLDRACING on Switch
« on: September 15, 2020, 03:02:38 pm »
Today I picked up SEGA AGES Virtua Racing and Hotshot Racing on the Nintendo Switch. You should also be able to get these games on other systems as well. Hotshot Racing just came out today I think and when you see it and the Virtua Racing remaster you'll probably understand why I am in love.

<a href="" target="_blank"></a> <a href="" target="_blank"></a>

As a nice bonus, I had enough coins to grab Virtua Racing for free. Otherwise you're looking at $7.99 for Virtua and $19.99 for Hotshot, though Hotshot is currently on a pre-sale for 15 bucks. And as always, grab Horizon Chase Turbo for the perfect trio of ageless racing games.

Everything Else / Crap. I forgot.

Jet fuel can't melt steel beams.

<a href="" target="_blank"></a>

So we got some Hyrule Warriors 2, hibbity bibbity, goget ready for some real home town beatdowns in Hyrule Town with Link, my waifu Urbosa (mommy!!), and a gaylord bird that doesn't know when to shut up. I also hope Ghirahim shows up as well since he was my main and my PB.

This is a game I'm hyped for. I can't wait for more of that unique, yet generic Dynasty Warriors gameplay tempered with the oversight of Nintendo holding a sword to the neck of every developer at Koei Tecmo and demanding that they not **** up Zelda for a second time. This is going to be a great game! Get hype get hype get hype get hype get hype!

Console Games / Xenoverse 2 is retarded in the best way!
« on: August 21, 2020, 04:37:48 pm »
Do any of you play Xenoverse 2? They are still updating this crazy, stupid game!!

<a href="" target="_blank"></a>
Supreme Kai of Time? Plus MORE! FUUUUG. Awesome.

QQ Bang LEVEL SIX? WHAT!?!?!?!? ****ING WHAT!??!? And the new raid quests... this is great! Especially for autistic players like me that have a character of ever race and gender at level 99 and ready to GO GO GO GO GO! Solid mediocre game. I highly recommend Xenoverse 2 to anyone that likes stupid fighting games and Dragon Ball.

Console Games / Got my SNES controllers for the Switch finally
« on: August 21, 2020, 03:09:37 pm »
Dude these things are amazing. They are everything I had hoped for and more with Mario Kart.

Really though, they are very well-designed and while the NES controllers for Switch are good, these are an order of magnitude better.

PC Games / Steam won't cooperate with my VPN
« on: August 13, 2020, 04:55:40 pm »
Weird stuff. But I'm pretty stubborn about that and won't reconfigure my network device just to load Steam. At least not today. Asking me to trade privacy for convenience is like trying to mix oil and water. That trick won't work on me. I just won't use your program no matter how many thousands of dollars worth of software I've got locked away in their walled garden. **** em!

Sorry GD, will have to get onto Steam later.

The literal and figurative fallout from it will also be incredible but not in a good way. 78 dead as of this posting and over 4000 wounded. Sheesh! That was some amazing footage, I am shocked the death toll isn't much higher.
