Spore: General / More Shiitake mushrooms!
« on: September 12, 2008, 09:35:57 pm »
I love this formation so much!  Why do our planet editing tools have no way of modifieing the formation themes on planets?  It would be so easy to implement, just have a tool replace all instances of one formation... with the other, voila!

Spore: General / More +sing parts

I think certain detail parts, such as ears, should add to your singing rather than charm.  There are so many neat looking mouths with cool vocalizations on creatures.... but their singing score is bad.  And I would like to have a singer without having to add several mouth parts or pick from the very narrow selection of high end mouths.

Besides, there are so many +charm detail parts it's ridiculous!  Add some +sing love!

Spore: General / Sweet Spot for planets?
« on: February 08, 2008, 05:44:40 pm »
In the newest video at Will's demo at NASA, he mentioned there is a "sweet spot" for being able to bootsrap life onto a planet.

My concern is that this means we cannot have flora/fauna that are adapted to hostile climates.  So I couldn't have a frigidly cold ice planet with frozen oceans, yettis, and snow covered pines?

Anyone else notice this?

Spore: General / Gameplay Speed: Too Fast?
« on: September 22, 2007, 02:15:12 pm »
In recent news (forgive me for providing no links) it was stated that the cell stage will take about 30 minutes, while the creature phase will take around 90.

My concern is the gameplay moving too fast and I will be hitting the space phase before I even know it.  This is really a game I would like to take my time with and fully experience every stage.  While I understand that alot of the time will be spent in the editors (the best feature by far) I equally enjoy being able to play out my creations and seeing it in action.

I hope they implement some kind of game speed adjustment to customize it to the individual.  You know, make it to where you can have the option of needing more food pellets in cell, needing more evo points to upgrade in creature, needing more research points to advance in civilization, etc.  That way the game can move slower for those people who want to take their time.

... Well that's just my 2 cents, am I worrying over nothing?
