Plenty of reasons. Testing advertising etc. Spore is such a huge game that it will take alot of testing to work out the bugs. Plus sence all the hype about it it would be really bad for EA and Maxis if it didnt work.

Well im pretty much confident that Spore will not be released on steam initially. After all even the games available on steam are also available in stores.

I think that the real question is not what kind of weapons are in the game but what kind of power is given to them and whether or not we will be given the option to customize that power. In short there is no way on earth to determine at this point in time whether or not there are nuclear weapons. so in short it is safe to say that they are in.

Well to be frank gentlemen I dont belive that we would need very high system stats. And as for Vista or Xp? Both. The game will run fine on both systems just like all PC games do (well almost all). After all unless you are running 2000 or later or you just have hardware from 2 years ago you will do just fine.

Well i dont know about the first one but i listened to a recent GFW Radio podcast and they were talking about things just like you are but on a much more complex scale. And the answers to there questions were "yes that is possible". So yea I think they are all possible. You really dont need a review or video to "confirm" much of anything that we talk about on these boards as everything is just about possible.

Are you insane? That's a huge limiter on creativity. I have nothing against 128-character names. Or 256. Possibly 512.
Okay... Make a name up right now that is 256 characters long.
50 is good for buildings/vehicles, and  10 or 20 is good for creatures, for me.

Well for one the center of the galaxy thing is totally optional. And another thing is that they mad it difficult (but not impossible) to make realistic creatures to encourage you to make your own creations.
