March 10, 2008New Mass Effect DLC ReleasedThe new Mass Effect downloadable content was released onto Xbox Live today for 400 Microsoft Points, which translates to $5/£3.40/€4.65 in real money. This DLC pack comes with 50 Gamerscore Points to achieve, along with a decent sidequest, as opposed to the mostly disappointing ones that were in the full game. Major Nelson has all the download details: Content: Bring Down the Sky This is all well and good, but if you're in the unfortunate position of having a save at the end of the game like myself, you will not be able to play this sidequest, and you would have to play through a new game (continuing with your old character if you so choose) to get to the part where you gain full control of the Normandy, where the new side-quest will appear on the star map. Initial reports of the content have been fairly promising, and for 400MP, it's not going to break the bank, so it should be worthwhile. Comments
Wow...sounds good. Mass Effect is a really good game, maybe one of my favorites, but the sidequests all did kind of suck. Maybe with a few more of these downloadables it'd make the game feel a bit more complete...the only problem being that I'm not sure I'll want to keep shelling out $5 for an hour more of gameplay...gameplay I thought would be in the full game at that. But hey w/e more ME is never a bad thing...I'll probably download the thing and play ME a second time thru when I need a break from BRAWL...wooo! Brawl yeah playin' Brawl oh yeah! Posted by hizzah at March 11, 2008 12:10 AMIsn't that why you always have multiple saves at different points? Or doesn't ME allow that? Posted by Miral at March 11, 2008 12:53 AMYeep they do... After my brother deleted a play-through of Skies of Arcadia I'd been playing for 30+ hours, I usually have at least four or five save points no matter what the game is...
