February 20, 2008GDC08: New Spore Pictures from Spore GDC TalksToday I attended two different talks on Spore today and managed to take as many pictures as I could while liveblogging those events. I'll also be posting several videos I took at those events later today once I can find some stable bandwidth to upload these monsters. All of the pictures were taken from the latest build of Spore , enjoy! Comments
Awesome, love the tetris town, loving it!!!! Posted by a14gt at February 20, 2008 10:32 PMI hope the Earthly animals are actually on Earth when I find it in Spore. Holy COW!! That is all I can say....Man I want this game so badly!!! Posted by Notorious B.O.B at February 20, 2008 10:37 PMGreat stuff, hope the videos will follow Posted by Bosnique at February 20, 2008 10:38 PMlooks great, can't wait for vids Posted by ilikesanta at February 20, 2008 10:58 PMI'm dieing to see vids Posted by BBsman at February 20, 2008 11:09 PMThis game looks more promising every time I view it. Of course with all the procedural stuff going on how taxing is it going to be on a pc. This may give me an excuse to upgrade my system since im still running xp only have 512mb ram and my processor is not a multi-core. Posted by toastman at February 20, 2008 11:26 PMA funny picture...they built some vid consoles on the building editor...seriously they're like 99% realistic... http://www.joystiq.com/2008/02/20/seen-gdc-console-war-continues-in-spore-as-wii-ps3-360-rebuil/#comments Posted by hizzah at February 20, 2008 11:27 PMyellow, banana, angry! Posted by beomoose at February 20, 2008 11:29 PMWow, the editors actually seem much more extensive than I'd once thought. Just hope there's some decent simulation gameplay to back it up, though I'm sure there will be. First thing I'm doing in Spore: Lobster Civilization! Posted by Clayton at February 20, 2008 11:52 PMLol, GameCube... Awesome pictures. My love for Spore is refuled. Posted by Eligecos at February 21, 2008 12:13 AMI'm probably never going to actually play the game. I'm just going to spend countless hours creating and designing creatures. Posted by The Great Dane at February 21, 2008 1:22 AMlol @ pikmin :) and all the rest... Something I'm worried about though = too many butons on screen always, Hope you can hide this :) Posted by CosmicD at February 21, 2008 1:33 AMThanks for all this Steve! My goodness, the cricket critter is utterly incredible! So much for not terribly realistic! Posted by Gord at February 21, 2008 2:21 AM*drools* So much good stuff! Me want video now! Must see animated lobster and cheeeto! Posted by Hydromancerx at February 21, 2008 3:49 AMAwww man, my Pikmin idea's stolen before the game was even released! Ah well, saves me a job I suppose. I hope they're reeeeeally tiny though! Awesome imagery, that cricket is fantastic. And a space dogfight between a Wii and a GameCube I'd love to see.
