Gaming Steve Episode 63 - 03.27.2007

Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium WarsSo what happens when two of the most anticipated games of the year -- Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars and The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles -- come out on the same day? Well I guess I'll just have to feature interviews with the developers of BOTH games on my show!

Oh yeah, and don't miss the cameos by Billy Dee Williams, Tricia Helfer and Joe Kucan (Kane himself!) throughout the show. Enjoy!

Sorry for ever doubting you Steve. I haven't listened to the podcast yet but I know it's gonna be great. Thanks a bunch for the awesome podcasts!

Take-Two fights Jack@$$ Thompson and then is up for sale? Weird...placement of stories.

Posted by Paroxysm at March 27, 2007 11:55 PM

I have to admit I thought you weren't coming back Steve. It's awesome to see you back on the grid. Loading and rocking your podcast now.

Great Podcast, Stephen! Loved the Elder Scrolls interview, really cool to hear their through process re: the leveling system.

I've only played the edmo for CnC3 but so far it looks like you nailed the review, amazingly fast and fun!

Any thoughts Sony's Home is being received by the general gaming press? Some have had high praise like you, but some others have been pretty critical of having to "put up with" a second-life-style interface to get simple tasks done.

Posted by Beomoose at March 28, 2007 8:12 PM

Why all the xbox-hate, Steve? You've recently become somewhat biased... I used to like how you tried to be even-handed between the consoles and lately you've become something of a sony-lover.

First: glad you are back with your podcast.

The only reason I am excited by the Wii browser update is to watch movies streamed from my PC via Orb. The nav bar at the bottom is not so hot when watching movies through the browser, so the auto hide will be welcome!

Quit complaining about the 500-600$ price tag in the states. Here in Sweden it's 1000$. PS2 was 600$+

great show as always

Nice to have you back on a semi-regular basis, Steve. Thanks for not forgetting us (your adoring public) even though you've been busy juggling job, family, and gaming. I enjoyed the latest offering quite a bit. Don't let the whiners & critics get you down. You owe us nothing and I think of every podcast you deliver is a wonderful gift that I didn't have to pay for.

Keep up the great work...at whatever pace you can. :)

Posted by Barzenak at April 6, 2007 12:44 PM

I am so glad you're back, Steve! Your's is easily my favorite podcast; fun, informative, well produced... it rocks.

Posted by Don at April 6, 2007 6:45 PM

Hahaha I had a dream about there being three new podcasts on here the other night :&

Posted by teo at April 18, 2007 10:25 AM

Remember when this thing used to be updated? I usually don't complain, but I mean, months between podcasts, let alone any news from the podcaster himself, really is too much. Do it, or do it not, there is no try.

"Remember when this thing used to be updated? I usually don't complain, but I mean, months between podcasts, let alone any news from the podcaster himself, really is too much. Do it, or do it not, there is no try."

Why dont you just pretend he's not doing it and dont come back? No-ones forcing you here... some people

Posted by whenyoubite at April 28, 2007 9:08 PM

It's kinda low to blame the kid he just got for his absent, its not really that hard to write a little note saying "Hey guys, I'm going to take a little break because I'm having trouble finding time to make podcast's. just a month or so, cya then"
or
"The podcasts are going to be sent every second/third week for a while until I get more energy/time/ect."

it only took a couple of seconds to write that, maybe a minute.
that's manageable for even the most unexperienced first time dads.

Steve:
Steve I truely hope whatever your going through gets better and that the podcast will be back someday, it would be real sad if this site died because of neglect, if you need help of some sort im sure most people in the community here are willing to help in one way or another.
and a word of advice, keeping people informed about the absent of podcasts or how long the breaks are is a good idea.

Whenyoubite:
Its easy to understand that people gets frustrated by the lack of podcast or the lack of explanaitions of why nothing happens.
complaining might get an answer out of Steve.
while leaving does nothing, except eventually killing the site if it continues.

Posted by ChaoticCreature at April 29, 2007 2:52 AM

from this podcast, I got the impression that there would be regular podcasts from now on, but I guess not :/

Posted by teo at April 29, 2007 11:23 AM

What do you mean? One podcast every 6 months IS regular for Gaming Steve.

Posted by Laurence at May 3, 2007 10:08 AM

not even remotely funny, you should be glad that he even does any

Posted by teo at May 3, 2007 10:37 AM

Posted by 4real at May 5, 2007 5:37 PM

Steve, this podcast has been my favorite gaming one for a couple of years. No one else is as detailed and in depth as you. Please get back to it and keep at it. Us, gamers, are lost without you.

Posted by Greg at May 9, 2007 7:09 AM

Still no podcast?

What about a blog update?

Or a comment?

Posted by arbok at June 4, 2007 2:14 AM

Its something unpredictable, but in the end it right. I hope you had the time of your life.

hey steve did you know e3 is going on :&

Posted by teo at July 11, 2007 12:13 PM

Steve better not be at E3. E3 is supposed to be locked up tight this year. If they let him in after his website performance this year, than I guess it isn't as locked down as everyone says.

Posted by Jim at July 11, 2007 11:36 PM

He said he had an invitation

Posted by teo at July 12, 2007 6:13 AM

sniff sniff. Could you just talk for 5 minutes? I can't take it anymore :P

Posted by Ben M at August 2, 2007 7:04 PM

We're missing you, Steve. I hope your children are doing well.
