March 7, 2007Gaming Steve Episode 60 - 03.07.2007 I'm Not Dead Yet! Yes everyone, I am back and I figured that since I started doing the show at GDC 2005 it was appropriate to resume with the start of GDC 2007.
Today I recap the day's events and the pivotal Sony keynote and just like last year I am sharing the mic with a fellow blogger/podcaster Gamer Andy from Gamer Andy. Enjoy everyone!

Posted by Olin at March 12, 2007 11:29 AMWoot! :D Posted by PekkaR at March 12, 2007 5:43 PMFantastic podcast. It's nice to hear your voice again, Steve. Posted by SharpMonkey at March 12, 2007 6:01 PMVery glad to see Steve back (and totally understand about the multiple children.) However, what a dissapointing podcast thanks largely to the fanboy Gamer Andy. Steve's podcasts are usually about the industry and his ability to give us an insider's perspective along with 'intelligent game discussion.' Gamer Andy provides none of that - he's just a fanboy who might as well be writing for Joystiq or any one of a number of 'just gamer' blogs/podcasts. It's one thing for Steve to mention developers prefering the PS3 to the Wii because of increased horsepower, then Gamer Andy just disses on the Wii because it isn't hardcore. Steve mentions that developers did recognize how they can make games for the Wii cheaper, and Gamer Andy complains that it's only for people's girlfriends. When Steve mentions that important developer-oriented talks he went to go see Gamer Andy skipped them. Constructive criticism - more Steve, less Alex. Posted by Scott at March 13, 2007 11:05 AMThis Andy guy sounds like an arrogant little bitch. Posted by poop at March 18, 2007 12:04 AMI agree with poop, Gamer Andy was a waste of an interview imo.
