Get a Load of This!

LOAD MagazineDoes anybody remember back in the mid 1990s when CD-ROMs were brand new and a whole bunch of "CD-ROM Magazines" came out? Who could forget the ever so popular Blender, Launch, and Digizine CD-ROM 'Zines? Basically they were magazines designed specifically for a CD-ROM, and they lasted about a year before people realized that buying CD-ROM Magazines was a stupid idea (of course, I bought them then all).

Well welcome to the next generation as dozens of download-'n'-read-on-your-PSP magazines have been released in the past few months. Joining the PSP 'Zine scene is LOAD Magazine just released its first issue, and this one looks pretty good. So what's in it? They review Burnout Legends, Winning Eleven 9 (Pro Evolution Soccer), and Virtua Tennis, "Dr. PSP" (wow, I didn't know you could become a PSP doctor) has compiled a guide for those who want to watch some of their DVD titles on their PSP and there is also a review of the classic Metal Slug.

Actually this sounds pretty since there is such a void of quality PSP software out right now. I mean, how many times can you watch Hitch on your PSP?

You obviously haven't checked out http://www.pspmagazines.com/ then because they've been publishing all kinds of mags in PSP format since the wipeout browser.

More Sony bashing from Nintendo Ste--I mean Gaming Steve? Boy does this get old fast.

Sony bashing? Please, I bash all companies equally.

I love my PSP, but it's been over six months since the release of the PSP and I have yet to see a truly great and unique title released. To date 32 titles have been released and only one of those games (Lumines) has an average ranking score of over 90%.

I truly hope that GTA: Liberty City Stories changes this as I think that will be "killer app" the PSP really needs right about now. Personally I can't wait for that game.

I could buy a TV for less than it would cost me to buy a PSP.

And the news is free.

I am assuming there will soon be a PSP News service thingy...

Either way... I dont like PSP.
