Game Boy Micro

Wow, the news is coming in so fast that it's nearly impossible to keep up with all the new systems and games being announced. Not getting lost in the shuffle is the new Nintendo Game Boy Micro. Not a ton is know about it yet but here is what is known:

  • Launch: Slated for this Fall.
  • Dimensions: 4 inches wide by 2 inches tall and 0.7 inches thick.
  • Weight: 2.8 ounces.
  • Processor: Same as GBA SP.
  • Screen: 2-inches, backlit and the “best Game Boy screen ever” with adjustable brightness controls.
  • Color: Silver only for now, expect other color options later in the year.
  • Accessories: Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, removable and customizable face plate, supports standard headphones.
  • Software: All Game Boy Advance titles will be playable on the Game Boy Micro.

Feh, I'll stick to my GBA SP, I prefer having the screen protected when not using it. This abomination leaves the screen unprotected.

I think it looks cool, though it's not the Evolution.
I might get it, 'cause it's going to be pretty cheap, but I am still waiting for the Evolution and the Revolution.
Imagine backward compatibility for the Evolution using the Revolutions net acces. omg endless possibilities :-D

Original GBA...GBA SP...and now GBA Micro. I think I'll stick to my original, thank you very much.

Just another way for Nintendo to make more money, kinda lame. I agree with Mike, my GC had millions of scratches, but then when I got my SP - no scratches yet - had it for around 2 years now too I believe.

This thing is gona have to be pritty cheap for anyone to just drop there GB advances and buy a new one again. Only way I would get this, is if it was under 50 dollars. And I doubt that lol.

I never did pick up an SP, so the Micro is looking good to me. I don't take my DS with me everywhere I go because the thing is a little too bulky to just slip into your pocket. But the Micro... if priced right, I'll grab one.

I'll probably pick one up for my daily stuff. Cheaper and smaller than the PSP. It'll give me a good reason to play some of the legend of zelda titles for the game boy.

I likes. I havn't had a portable since Gameboy Color, this I would actually consider getting just for the Zelda titles and maybe some real RPGs (Anyone recommend a good RPG for GBA?). I imagine it will be very affordable too.

i dont know about anybody else, but this thing looks a bit like a retro nes controller, i dont like the unprotected screen, you should see the state of my gb advance - not sp

Come on, we all know it feels better unprotected.
