Warriors, come out to play...
Rockstar has finally released some new information on their new game, The Warriors, an adaptation of the 1979 cult-classic. The game appears to be a huge, sprawling beat-em-up that includes a prequel to the movie with a deep but user-friendly fighting system. The levels will feature GTA-like open levels but yet stay true to the original film.
When describing the game Rockstar used the games "Double Dragon" & "Streets of Rage" as loose comparisons. Hopefully there will be a lot more information at this year's E3.
The Warriors is due to come out later this year for both the Xbox and PlayStation 2.
if the f***ers are going to do the same as with Vice City (the not-on-PC-thing) i'm gonna buy a shotgun
Posted by john at April 15, 2005 4:43 PMAwesome. I remember seeing this movies as a kid and going "Man, America is screwed up." I honestly thought that in America, people joined themed gangs and duked it out with bicycle chains, broken bottles and baseball bats.
Rockstar, naturally, is perfect for this title.
It's almost sublime how cool an idea for a game this is. I couldn't see anyone BUT Rockstar pulling it off, though.

I would simply like to know if The Warriors will ever be released for the Pc. I sold my Ps2 because face it they cant keep up the the pc world and soon Pc will even rise above the 360....In about a year when they start making games that use the full potential of the 7800.
