--typed as I listen to podcast--

WoW - no dishonorable kills? Massacres? Damn, it sounds like I'm missing out now. I quit, you see. I overplayed it and it became boring for me.
Oh well.
Battlegrounds sounds like fun. I just wish they would have added some minigames, bar games and stuff like that. Eh.

This Revolution thing better be actually revolutionary, not just some egotistically named Gamecube with slightly better hardware.

That trading in-game items for real money is just laughable. All these extravagant fools blowing real money on something as fleeting and worthless as virtual items... it's just silly.
Though, they do this in Gunbound. You can buy credits or something for certain items. Gunbound does fine, but then again, they are completely different types of games.
We'll just have to see.

I'm not into cellphones or mobile gaming. I usually stick to PC or the big consoles for games. They're usually longer, much more fun, and they don't give me crossed eyes.
Me, I have large hands, long fingers, and blah. I have a lot of trouble with things like the GBA SP. Same for cell phones.
Sounds like they have some cool things though. I'd like to check them out sometimes. Somehow. :S

You're going to E3? Good going.
Take pictures. And lots of notes. :D

I want Spore.
Just thought I'd mention that.
You were contacted by magazines? That's pretty sweet.
You told them no? Haha.
I'm telling everyone I can about Spore. It fascinates me, and usually does the same for everyone I talk to about it.

Hah, I remember the Legend of Zelda gold box. I have a copy too. I just wish I had that Adventure of Link one though with the silver box. I liked that one a bit more. Platformer RPG, and nice music.
The Minish Cap sounds pretty good. I should look into it.

Ah, Name That Game.
Congrats to Evil Blob on the last one. I never played Animal Crossing.
Now, for today's...
...
...
..?
Augh. Blast you, Steve.

Another nice podcast. I like these things.
Keep it up.

How retro is KOTR? The game is 2 years old.

Posted by HoodSide at April 24, 2005 12:34 PM

True KOTOR is only 2 1/2 years old, but in video game years that is a lifetime. Also it's an excellent game and you can pick it up for like $15 used which I think is important for a lot of people.

I would say that any game more than a year old can be a retro review ... or I can do games like Choplifter and Miner 2049er which are super retro! Heh, I'll mix it up with games from like 1 year ago and games from say like 7-8 years ago (and sometimes even older).

Another great Podcast Steve. I have no idea about Name That Game this week. I had the same problem with you with KOTOR, I just so board. I got to the point right after you save the Jedi in the begining, and just did not feel like moving on. I will have to go back and give it another try if I can find the time. Will also have to pick up TLOZ: The Minish Cap. Love Zelda games, have the first one, LTTP, Ocarina of Time (GC version), Oracle of Seasons, and Windwaker.
