Nice! Best Podcast yet. 76minutes? Felt like 6minutes, good stuff.
Enjoyable. Gotta wonder if the expected disparity in storage is a huge deal though. Current XBox games take up about 3-4 gigs. One of the major consumers of storage, cutscenes, are increasingly done in-engine, and except for licensed properties, I can't think of why a developer would ever go out of the engine next gen. Super high-res textures for HD displays will take up more space, certainly, but is something like GTA going to be able to more then double the storage requirements? There's only so much content developers can afford. Plus, having stuff on multiple discs isn't really that big a deal...Aside from something like xenosaga or something, I can't see anything going over two discs.
As always, filter the above through my utter lack of technical knowledge.
--I type as I listen to podcast.--
The reason I don't want a PSP is just because I'm not interested in another handheld. I need a DS for Castlevania DS (huge Castlevania DS fan), and even though I'm also a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, I'm NOT going to bother getting all that crap for a damn card based game. They flubbed it.
The DS beat their time.
I'm not a big Nintendo fan either. I hate Nintendo. I just want the games. That's all I want.
I'm tired of being broke all the time.
Violent video games in the news AGAIN??
Holy crap, these people are frigging idiots. 90 mil to investigate? That's just fab.
I know it's been brought up before -- people have been violent since the beginning of time, some people are just naturally mentally crazy/insensitive/antisocial, and other things.
I'm not violent because of video games. I have a bit of a temper because that's how I was raised by my dad. I've had a temper since I was 4 and it has never gone away.
Besides that, when I play GTA San Andreas, I don't want to go have gang wars. Seriously.
I look at games as games.
People like to blame this crap on games rather than accept their own stupidity. They're cowards.
Oh well. I doubt games will ever be banned. I'm sure that if games were banned, people would get worse. Face it, we'd all be bored and probably more free to go out and stir up some trouble.
Whatever.
(by the way, I'm sure that D&D guy just got pissed because his level 59 whatever mage finally got killed after years of "work" and got carried away.)
The PS3 sounds like it can handle a good bit more. I just hope they stop upping the graphics and start making some damn games. I'm sick of light shows.
Not interested in the XBox.
Touch screen controller for Nintendo's thing? Bleh.
I really -really- wish they'd stop making consoles every year. I have to follow my games. The developers follow the consoles. Therefore, I have to follow the consoles.
I can afford it. All of it. But I'm about done of it. I'm a goddamn cash farm. I'm tired of this crap.
Eh.
That bit about the new generation -- that's exactly it.
Man, I hear sirens again. What the hell?
Oh, nevermind.
Anyway, like I said, none of my friends, none of my relatives, none of the random people I meet online like how the new generation (now) is about to very rigidly die off with the coming of ANOTHER new generation. What the hell?
Their struggled, confused competition with one another is trampling us into poverty.
I'm looking forward to this Spore game.
I've some very evil things in the works.
I don't mind waiting. There are games progressively being released throughout the year. Hitman: Blood Money, Castlevania DS, Kingdom Hearts 2, and others. We'll all have plenty to do while we wait.
I just pray they don't "cute" or "goofy" Spore up. I'm into the realism and atmosphere.
Nice podcast. Thanks for the info and chatter.
Not cringing at your cell description, just one correction people might find interesting. The cell isn't actually multicore, its a vector processing architecture (a supercomputer really). For anyone interested, find out more about it:

once again, awesome podcast i told my friends about it and they love it :)
